From nordic ski races in our alleys and on our streets to 4th of July parades that will blow your mind, the Crested Butte lifestyle is unique in every way. I can safely say that Crested Butte has done what many Colorado mountain towns didn’t do. It kept it’s identity and preserved it’s lifestyle.
Everyone walks or rides townie bikes to get the mail, grab a coffee or go to the movies. The hand-painted skier shuttle bus is still free to ride between the ski resort and Town.
You won’t find traffic jams, a stoplight or even a parking meter around here but you will discover great skiing and year-round outdoor recreation throughout our stunning mountains, river valleys and healthy forests. Our clean air and water and vibrant community of passionate people add to the quality of life one would expect from a true Colorado mountain town.
